Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society

PAWS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving Philadelphia’s homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals. PAWS is Philadelphia's largest no-kill shelter and is working to make Philadelphia a city in which every healthy and treatable pet is guaranteed a home. Through its adoption locations, special events, and foster care network, PAWS finds loving homes for thousands of animals each year.In March 2010, PAWS opened a low-cost, high-volume spay/neuter and wellness clinic serving pet owners and rescues in an effort to keep pets healthy and reduce the homeless pet population. Located in the Grays Ferry section of the city, the Clinic serves pet owners who have difficulty affording or do not have access to basic veterinary care (sterilization, vaccinations, treatments for upper respiratory infections/parasites/fleas, etc.) and rescue organizations that need affordable spay/neuter surgery and basic veterinary care to carry out their lifesaving work. Support for PAWS funds lifesaving initiatives including adoption and foster care programs, spay/neuter surgeries, low-cost vaccinations, and other efforts, all of which help reduce and will ultimately eliminate the unnecessary killing of Philadelphia's animals. Donations to PAWS are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Laid back and snuggly, sweet lady Lilo is living her best three-legged life! Affectionate and calm, Lilo just wants to hang out! She loves to be in on the action, following her people around the house and finding a comfy spot to supervise daily activities. Lilo is a tri-pawed kitty, and she navigates life on three legs well, scampering around and jumping onto perches to get the best view. This sweet girl loves a good head scratch and naptime on a lap. She's a chill companion with the sweetest little voice, and she loves a good chat. Lilo would do well in a calm environment where she can get lots of head rubs and affection while having space to relax and observe all the household activities. Adoption Process

Adoption fees are: Dogs: $150 Puppies (under 1 year): $200 Cats: $50 Kittens (under 6 months): $75 All adopted animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
