Meet Percy Fluffnugget

Located in Alexandria VA   Mr. Percy Fluffnugget, as his foster mother and foster daughter have co-named him, is a very cuddly, very tactile kitty cat. Why do we say tactile? Because this is a kitty who has to headbutt you with his adorable face every chance he gets. Entered the room? Headbutts. You shifted in the bed while he's sleeping with you? Headbutts. You picked him up? Yep, headbutts. He's a chatty kitty when he's moved somewhere he's not familiar with, or when he's exploring new territory. Once he realizes he's safe and comfortable though, he's on to purring and demanding pets (or aforementioned headbutting you). We don't know his origin; he was at a shelter and when the rescue pulled him, he had places shaved out of his fur that indicate matting, he had a fever, and an upper respiratory infection. He was also severely underweight. With lots of love and TLC, the rescue has brought him back to full health and he's all set to find a home that doesn't mind a very affectionate cat. He does great with kids that know how to properly behave around cats (he lets his foster sister pick him up and will sleep with her). He is also good around other cats.

Adoption Process
An application is submitted to our organization. The application is assigned to adoption coordinator for processing. The adoption coordinator interviews and follows up on references. Then they write up an application summary, and post for the group to vote on. The group votes on the applicant’s adoption status. Once approved to adopt thru our organization, they may pick a cat/kitten to adopt. If approved by the foster parent the adoption process proceeds. Applicant submits adoption agreement and donation is made and then the adopter picks up or we deliver the cat/kitten. Adoption is complete.
