Because of this, he is more shy than your âtypicalâ cat. This kitty has just left the only home he ever had and now he is trying to adjust to shelter life, which is understandably difficult for him. This will also be true of his transition to a new home; it may take a lot of time, patience, and trust for him to adjust and feel comfortable and safe again.
