Meet John Spartan

Meet John Spartan – A True Survivor with a Heart of Gold!John Spartan has been on an incredible journey, and now he’s ready to find a forever home as special as he is.This handsome boy came into rescue as a tiny kitten without a mom, alongside his sister. They were both in rough shape and rushed to the emergency hospital. John spent the night under care and bounced back like the little warrior he is. After 24 hours, he moved into a loving foster home, where he was soon reunited with his sister.Just when things were looking up, John developed serious eye issues and was diagnosed with Neurological/Ocular FIP. Thanks to dedicated treatment and his unbreakable spirit, he underwent five months of care and made a full recovery. He’s since completed his observation period and is now officially ready for his next big chapter: finding his forever family.John Spartan is easygoing, gentle, and sweet. He gets along well with other cats and would do fine with older children who understand his needs. While he hasn’t met any dogs yet, his calm nature suggests he could acclimate well to a respectful, cat-friendly canine companionHe loves playing with toys, lounging in the sunshine, and watching the world go by from a cozy perch near a window. He’s a champion at Couch Back Lounging and a professional Cat TV critiSpecial Consideration:John Spartan does have some fecal incontinence and occasionally poops outside the litter box. It’s a manageable condition, but it does mean he’ll need a compassionate home that understands his special needs and can offer patience, love, and maybe a few extra puppy pads. This boy has fought hard to be here, and he deserves a family who sees how amazing he truly is. If you have room in your heart and home for a little extra love—and don’t mind the occasional cleanup—John Spartan will reward you with endless affection and unwavering loyalty.Could you be John Spartan’s hero?

Adoption Process
the first step in our process is an application. The questions on the application are designed to determine if the pet would be a good fit in this home. We contact the applicant’s veterinarian to verify they have a good history of previous (or current) pet care. We meet the applicant at Petsmart or at their home to allow them to interact with the pet they are interested in adopting. If all goes well the adoption is finalized. We have an adoption contract, requiring regular vet care, indoor homes, return to us if it doesn’t work out, etc. Our dog adoption fee is $175, cats range from $80 for older cats to $125 for kittens
