The Cat Network, Inc.

The Cat Network is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit, 501(c)3, no-kill and life-enhancing cat rescue group. Since 1991, we have rescued and placed thousands of abandoned, abused, stray and shelter cats and kittens in St. Louis, Missouri and surrounding areas. After their rescue, the cats and kittens are provided medical care, tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, micro-chipped and spayed or neutered. Cats and kittens are kept in foster care and then placed in loving permanent homes whenever possible.

Meet Skippy

Creamy, chunky, or smooth? Peanut butter cat Skippy is a little bit of everything all mixed into one!  This green eyed beauty is all about creating relationships.  She starts off rather reserved, and shy, then all of the sudden a switch goes off and she’s your bestie! She loves contact- having a paw on your leg or shoe, rubbing her head just under your chin, or making biscuits in your lap. As of December 2023 Skippy is about a year and a half old. She enjoys the company of other cats, she vocalizes to say hello- and prefers that doggo’s keep their distance.  Skippy wants to make friends with other cats.  If they decline her offers, she will avoid and give space verses getting upset or heated about it. She loves trying to gently grab other kitties tails.  It's cute to watch.    Currently Skippy is around adults, we have not seen her around kids. Skippy can get down in toy town with the best of them! She loves her kicker, wand, and ball toys. Skippy is a gently curious cat. She likes to investigate and enjoys being held by humans for a walk around inside and explore.  She handles nail trims with ease, and is very treat and food motivated. She proudly wears her badge of honor-her eartip-  she used to live outside but clearly has embraced the inside life. She wants nothing more than to find her forever home! She is so deserving!

Adoption Process
Potential adopters must fill out an application. Once the application is approved, the adoption fee is $150 for kittens 6 mos and under and $125 for over 6 mos. This includes all age appropriate shots, spay/neuter, microchip and combo/snap test.

Look for other cats for adoption!
