Save a Stray

Save a Stray is a new group of old hats. We are determined to enrich the lives of the shelter pets of Mobile through spay/neuter programs, shelter medicine, and training classes. Spay/neuter progams are offered to decrease the number of pets entering our shelters. Shelter medicine will be provided for pets in our shelters so healthier pets are adopted or pulled by rescue groups. We hope to increase pet adoptions and the chances of that pet becoming a family member through training classes with shelter pets and at risk youth groups.

About

Meet Cinderella

Now ready for adoption (or foster!) through Save a Stray….meet Cinderella!! We are hoping this sweetheart will have the true Cinderella story and go from rags to riches. She is one of the adoptable kitties from the horrible hoarding situation in Mobile. She is a calm and sweet kitty who enjoys being petted and will demand attention with her….horrific sounding meow. She sounds a little like a gargoyle. Seriously. But it only adds to her charm!! Cinderella was one of the kitties from the house that I was able to pick up on the first day and put in a trap (I didn’t have carriers with me)! She is used to being around other cats; naturally is afraid of dogs and will run from quick movements…but she has never tried to bite. She will run and hide if she gets scared but comes back out when she is calm again. She’s definitely got some trauma from her previous life but even in just a short week she has started turning into the sweetest girl. So, keep this in mind if you are thinking about adopting! A loud, rambunctious house may not be the best placement for her. Cinderella is around 1-2 years old; spayed, dewormed, on heartworm/flea prevention, microchipped, tested negative for Felv/FIV/heartworms, and vaccinated. If interested in adopting please fill out an application at SaveAStray.org!

Adoption Process
application, interview, possible home check, adoption contract if approved, Save a Stray will rehome if needed

Look for other cats for adoption!
