Meet Whitney

Whitney was rescued from the Austin City Pound on 10/14/23 when no one came to claim her and she was due to be euthanized by the city of Austin.  Whitney is probably just under a year old at the time of rescue.  We are guessing that her birthday was in April, 2023.  Whitney is a friendly girl who does great with the other cats and with all of the volunteers.  She is now spayed and current on her shots.  She has tested neg for feline leukemia/FIV.  Her adoption fee is $50 or 2 for $75.  A pet carrier is required at the time of adoption and you must be 21 to adopt from MCHS.  To meet Whitney or any of our cats, go to mchs.rescuegroups.org and complete and submit our online application.  We will review and get in touch to set up a meeting time.  Our address is 101 22 ST SE, Austin, MN.  We are located off of I-90 via exit 180B to 218 SOUTH.  We are just past our local airport.  THANKS.

Adoption Process
Starts with written Application form which includes questions regarding housing situation (rent/own etc. renters require landlord approval), History of previous or current pets, Vet information, Animal housing information (cats must be indoors, dogs fenced yard etc.). Fees for Cat Adoptions are $50 (or $75 for two) Dogs vary based on breed, size, etc. Average is $125.
