Meet Buddy

Buddy was found in Mower County in October, 2023.  It is believed he was abandoned.  He is a friendly guy with very unusual markings in his fur.  It appears that he was born with just half a tail!  Buddy is very friendly.  He is now neutered and current on his shots.  He has tested neg for feline leukemia/FIV.  Adoption fee is sponsored for the right family (!) and you must be 21 to adopt from MCHS.  A pet carrier is required at the time of adoption.  To meet Buddy or any of our cats, go to mchs.rescuegroups.org to complete and submit our online application.  We will review and get in touch to set up a meeting time.  Our address is 101 22 ST SE, Austin, MN.  We are located off of I-90 via exit 180B to 218 SOUTH.  We are just past our local airport.  THANKS.

Adoption Process
Starts with written Application form which includes questions regarding housing situation (rent/own etc. renters require landlord approval), History of previous or current pets, Vet information, Animal housing information (cats must be indoors, dogs fenced yard etc.). Fees for Cat Adoptions are $50 (or $75 for two) Dogs vary based on breed, size, etc. Average is $125.
