My name is Garfield. I am an adult male, estimated DOB is 5/3/2020, who was found wandering the streets of Eagan. Since being brought inside I have made friends with the two resident cats. It's expected that I would do well with other cats after a slow introduction. I haven't met a dog yet, but I'm pretty mellow and go with the flow once I’m comfortable in my environment. You can find me resting, playing with toys or running my zoomies out. I really enjoy being brushed and don't mind having my nails trimmed. I absolutely love the laser and wand toys! I appreciate daily play. I am very vocal and like to tell stories but it does take me time to warm up to new people. I am docile, chill and appreciate slow and gentle pets. After we build some trust, I’ll even let you rub my belly. At night I sleep on my foster Mom’s bed with the other cats, but I’m not a cuddler. I prefer my space and am fairly independent. Since I am a little uncertain of lots of noise, I would prefer a house with no small children. I look forward to meeting you to see if I am a good fit for you and your family.
Adoption Process
Our adoption process includes an adoption application. After reviewing your application and contacting the vet and personal references, a meeting is scheduled between the potential adopter and the pet, in the foster's home or a neutral animal friendly place. If there are any resident animals within the home, it is required that they meet at this time. After the meeting, a home visit by one our representatives is REQUIRED prior to finalizing any adoption and we must meet all members of the household where the pet will be living sometime during the adoption process. 6 month post-adoption check in is completed.
