Meet Woodby

Precious wee polydactyl Woodby was a transfer from another rescue after a recommendation was made by a vet to euthanize.  Woodby's offense?  An anal stricture.  Woodby arrived in our care 2/20/24, and we got the dear boy into our vet as well as the surgeon who had just successfully addressed another feline's anal stricture.  The recommendation?  Wait and see.  Woodby's anus was functional and patent, and the surgeon knew that he stood a chance of having the stricture expand with him as he grew.  Thankfully, that is exactly what happened.  Wee Woodby's stricture expanded from 3mm to over 10mm.  And he is still growing.  All this dear boy needs is a little bit of over-the-counter Miralax.  His biggest issue became that his stool would stick to the fur around his bum.  Now Woodby is eating a raw diet (free range chicken with supplements), and that is no longer an issue.  As a precaution, Woodby requires a home that would not be bothered by occasional stools dropping outside of the litterbox.  Woodby has been neutered and vaccinated against rabies and distemper.  He's negative for FIV and feline leukemia.  Woodby does fabulously well with other felines (and needs a feline buddy wherever he goes).  He also does just fine with the resident canine.  Woodby is available for adoption for $60.   Please note that Woodby is located in New Prague, MN.   1700+ adoptions and counting. . .
