Meet Caterpillar
If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. Meet Caterpillar – The Colorful Queen of the Couch Female | Calico | Short Hair | Available May 20, 2025Caterpillar is a striking calico girl with a heart as bold as her colors. She’s the “big sister” of the trio—confident, curious, and just a little bit sassy in the most lovable way. She walks into a room like she owns the place, and within minutes, she’ll have found the coziest spot, claimed it, and invited herself into your lap like it was always meant for her.Caterpillar is full of charm and just the right amount of mischief. She loves a good wand toy battle, a high perch to supervise from, and a dramatic flop right in your path when she wants attention (which is often). She’s playful without being wild, affectionate without being clingy, and always up for a cozy cuddle or an impromptu grooming session with her siblings.Like her siblings, she was rescued from a tough start—abandoned in a box near a bus stop. But you’d never know it now: Caterpillar has grown into a healthy, confident, and social kitten who brings warmth and color wherever she goes. She’s litterbox trained, great with other cats and friendly dogs, and enjoys hanging out with kids who understand cat boundaries. She’s eating both wet and dry kitten food and handles new environments like a seasoned explorer.Caterpillar is FeLV/FIV negative and will come spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated—ready to strut into her forever home on May 20, 2025. In the meantime, we can set up a time to meet. She’s bonded with her siblings, Snails (female, calico) and Worms (orange, male), and we’d love to see her adopted with one of them—or into a home with another young cat to keep her company. She thrives on connection and companionship.(And yes, her name is Caterpillar. It started as a joke, but it stuck—and honestly? It kind of fits. She’s colorful, wiggly, and totally unforgettable.)If you’re looking for a confident, cuddly, and delightfully expressive kitten, Caterpillar is ready to charm her way into your heart.Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption. The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.
Adoption Process
Adoption applications must be completed, which include information regarding references and vet clinic information, DL #, names, etc. Reference checks are conducted and when necessary vetting information verified. Discussion about the animal interested in to best assure appropriate and proper placement is made, and educational information regarding how to manage a multi-dog/animal household, slow and proper introductions and the importance of a shut-down period to help the animal acclimate to new surroundings. A "meet and greet" with the animal is required and whenever possible all residents of the household should be present. Home checks may, but not always, be necessary. After adoption applications is approved a contract is required, where we also stipulate that if for any reason the adopter determines they no longer want or can care for the animal we require it be returned to us, with the exception of documented bite history or potentially dangerous or dangerous dog designations. Adoption fees vary, but are comparable to or less than other local rescues and typically are $300 or less for a canine and $150 for a feline.
