Meet Emilee & Rubee – Bonded Beauties Looking for a Fresh Start Hi there! We're Emilee and Rubee, two sweet, bonded rescue cats in search of a loving home. Our human is moving out of state and, heartbreakingly, can’t take us along—so now we’re hoping to find someone with a warm heart and a gentle hand to welcome us in. Emilee is a beautiful 5-year-old brown tabby. She's quiet, shy, and still adjusting to the recent changes in her life. While she’s feeling scared and a bit shut down at the shelter, she is eating and using her litter box, which tells everyone she’s trying her best. She’ll need patience, a calm space, and a human who understands that trust takes time—but once she feels safe, she’ll show her sweet soul. Rubee is younger, at 2 years old, an adorable orange and white tabby with a curious and adventurous streak. She’s more confident in new spaces and isn’t afraid to explore and say hello. Rubee helps Emilee feel safe, which is why they need to stay together. She’s not quite sure what to make of the other cats in the room just yet, so slow introductions would be best. These two are a perfect balance—gentle Emilee and social Rubee—and together they’ll bring love, companionship, and quiet joy to the right home. If you're looking for a pair of bonded cats who just need a second chance, come meet Emilee and Rubee—you might just be their perfect match. I just joined my foster family and we are still getting acquainted with one another. Once they learn more about me, they will add more information here! Rubee is from an owner surrender with her bonded sister, Emilee. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
