Melba and Nellie – Sibling Sweeties Ready to Blossom Together! Meet Melba and Nellie, a pair of bonded siblings searching for a forever home where they can stay by each other’s side. These two may start off shy in new surroundings, but with a little time and love, they’re ready to show you just how special they can be! Melba, the brother, has already turned into a total cuddle bug after some time at the shelter. He’s a lap-cat extraordinaire, always on the lookout for a cozy spot to snuggle up and soak in the affection. Don’t even think about skipping his belly rubs—he’ll insist on them before letting anyone move on with their day! His sweet, affectionate nature is a glimpse of the love he’s ready to share. Nellie, his sister, is a bit more reserved and still finding her confidence. She’s shy, but she’s making progress—especially when food’s involved! Her little meows for a meal are the first signs of her growing trust, and a patient home will help her continue to open up. With Melba’s support and your kindness, she’s sure to thrive. Together, Melba and Nellie are a perfect pair, leaning on each other as they grow. A calm, loving home will be the key to boosting their social skills and confidence, letting Melba’s cuddly side shine and giving Nellie the space to come into her own. If you’re ready to offer this duo the time and tenderness they need, they’ll reward you with endless love and purrs. Adopt Melba and Nellie today and watch them bloom! Visitors to the shelter are by appointment only and after a form has been submitted online: https://www.marshmallowfoundation.org/forms/
Adoption Process
Marshmallow Animal Shelter wants to make certain that every animal adopted goes to a loving home where it will be well cared. Because of this, our application asks a number of detailed questions, which are necessary for our screening process. Our application will ask you to what lengths you are willing to go, in order to accommodate the animal's needs and training. You must be able to show commitment of time, finances, energy and compassion to the animal.
Once your application is approved, we require that you sign a contract guaranteeing non-transferal/sale of animal, its proper care, and spay/neuter surgery if not already done.
