About

Meet Duma

dob 6/27/16 After her owner went into assisted living, Duma remained in the empty house. Neighbors looked after her until the family asked TC Paw for help. We were glad to take this beautiful girl whose name means cheetah in Swahili and whose green eyes turn to gold in certain light. Duma is a friendly, sweet cat. She wants to be where the people are, lying on the floor and being petted on her chin and cheeks, but not so much on her belly. Maybe it tickles too much. She likes a daily brushing to keep her coat shiny and silky. She likes food. She likes wand toys and balls. For a cat her age, she's surprisingly quick on her feet. When you walk, she likes to get right under your feet, and when you stand still, like in the kitchen, she may come along and lie at your feet without any notice. Be careful you don't trip over her. Duma has a soft, quiet purr. It's easy to clip her claws, and she prefers a hooded litter box. She dislikes being closed in a room, especially overnight. Duma made fast friends with her foster family, and she'll do the same in her new home.
