About

Meet Kimber

dob 11/30/20 Kimber is one of the Kalkaska 38, the huge hoarding and abandonment rescue TC Paw did over the Labor Day weekend. You can read about it here on the website. Kimber had a rough start in his foster home. He was almost unapproachably frightened, and stomach problems plagued him. His foster family had a difficult time drawing him out, but they kept at it. They knew he loved chin scritches, so they used that to make him relax and trust them. They found meds to fix his stomach and a prescription diet to maintain it. When he finally came out of hiding, he loved it! Kimber is just crazy for petting all over – chin, neck, face, ears, back, and belly. He meows for attention, falls over on his side, and twists all around to help his foster mom get to all the spots he wants petted. She says she has never seen a cat who revels in being petted and rubbed more than Kimber. He spends every evening purring on the sofa with his people. He stretches out so luxuriously that even though he’s just a little guy, you’d swear he’s four feet long. His tail curves over his back like a sled dog's. He plays with toys and lives peacefully with the other cats in his foster home. Though Kimber has come an amazingly long way, he may need time to feel safe again in a new home with new people. Be patient, and you’ll soon have a sweet buddy who loves your touch.
