Tyson's Place Animal Rescue

We began taking in animals in 2015. Our rescue's mission is to assist terminally ill people with finding new families for their pets. We interpret this mission to mean we help people going into nursing homes, assisted living, hospice, managing illness, and after the owner has passed away. We want to provide people and pets with peace of mind. We want owners to know their animals are well cared for and to keep senior animals out of shelters.

Meet Maya

Meet Maya – A Stunning Siamese with a Heart of Gold Maya is a beautiful 10-year-old seal point Siamese whose personality shines just as brightly as her striking blue eyes. Outgoing, affectionate, and irresistibly sweet, Maya is quick to flop over for belly rubs and will happily soak up all the love you’re willing to give. She enjoys lounging near her person, but she’s also a confident explorer who loves climbing and surveying her kingdom from a high perch. Playful and full of charm, Maya adores her catnip toys—especially her crayon-shaped favorite—and she never misses her special canned food treat time. (She’ll come running the moment she hears a can open—shredded seafood is the way to her heart!) Maya is easygoing and adaptable. She has previously lived peacefully with a small senior dog and other cats, but she’s just as content being your one-and-only. With her soft, tiny Siamese meow and warm presence, she’ll happily greet you at the door and keep you company throughout the day. Maya is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and has had full bloodwork. She’s in great health, has impeccable litter box manners, and is ready to settle into a loving forever home. You may noticed she is crossed eye in the photos - our vet reassures us she can see just fine and that this is a common Siamese trait. Bonus: If you’ve ever dreamed of adopting a pair of gorgeous Siamese, Maya’s grandmother Pepper (age 12) is also available! While they are independent and can be adopted separately, they would make a lovely duo.  Interested in adopting Maya (or Maya and Pepper together)? Adoption Process
We have an adoption application, which is reviewed by a committee, we then do a visit with the animal, and if everything goes well, an adoption contact is signed. Depending on the medical needs of the animals, the adoption fee ranges from waived to $175.
