Meet GRETEL

In a land not so far away (your neighborhood, actually), a tiny black kitten named Gretel has been quietly plotting to steal hearts—and so far, she’s very successful. At just 9 weeks old, Gretel already exudes the kind of quiet confidence usually reserved for wise grandmas and enchanted forest dwellers.Gretel may be small, but don’t let that fool you—this little lady has opinions, style, and a whole lot of sass tucked into her silky black fur. With the grace of a ballerina and the curiosity of a tiny detective, she explores her world carefully, often watching with wide, thoughtful eyes before making her move. She’s the kind of kitten who’ll gently bat at your fingers, then sit down and stare at you like you’re the weirdo. She’s affectionate in her own mysterious way—never clingy, always cool. But the moment you sit down with a blanket? She’s suddenly right there, curled into the crook of your arm, purring like she’s known you forever. Her favorite pastimes include silent judging, cozy naps in hidden corners, and elegantly pouncing on things that probably didn’t deserve it.Gretel has been lovingly fostered. She's thriving in her kittenhood and ready to bring elegance, mischief, and the occasional dramatic stare into someone’s life. She’s looking for a home that appreciates the subtle art of black cat charm and can match her quiet intensity with love and patience. Whether you're looking for a solo sorceress or considering pairing her with a sibling (rumor has it her brother Hansel is just as magical), Gretel is ready to write her next chapter with you.If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $100
