Meet POPPY

MEET POPPY! *I need a cat friend in my new home!*I require 2 visits before I can go home!Poppy is what we call a `tiny tiger` - born outside and frightened of people and our unfamiliar ways. Our staff and volunteers have been working hard to socialize Poppy, and they've made great progress. She still has a way to go, and we're happy to advise and support anyone who wants to add her to their family. Poppy would do best with an experienced cat owner who can give her time and space to adjust to her new surroundings and new people. She needs a person who will continue to work with her -- she loves food and play time -- but respect her boundaries. She is not a fan of touching, but enjoys pets with a scratcher. We find these cats do well with a confident social cat at home, and we're sure Poppy would enjoy having a feline friend or two. She has lived with cats and loves their company, Due to her sassy ways, Poppy would notbe appropriate for a home with children. Poppy might be a little more work, but we promise she is worth it! Please consider coming to Dedham to meet Poppy. Poppy is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and been seen by our vet team. For more information on this or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.
