This 2-year-old girl is shy at first, preferring to stay in the background while she figures out if the world is safe. But behind those watchful eyes is a cat who wants to loveâsheâs just not sure how to do it yet.With a calm, patient home and someone who will let her go at her own pace, Abby will slowly begin to trust. Sheâs sweet in the softest waysâlike the way she leans into gentle pets when sheâs feeling brave, or how she watches you from across the room, quietly hoping youâll sit nearby. Abby isnât the cat whoâll run to greet you at the doorâbut give her time, and she just might curl up next to you when you least expect it.Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am - 12:30 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12:30 pm and 2 pm -6:30 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. To schedule an appointment outside of those hours, and/or to learn more information regarding a particular animal, please call the Feline Department at 410-848-4810 ext 822. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday - Friday. Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 21 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.
