Meet Daisy (& Rosebud) bonded
I’m Daisy, a fluffy tortie who loves to play and sit in a window sill and watch the outdoors (day or night). My sister, Rosebud (a beautiful fluffy orange cat), and I love attention. We seek our second furr-ever home (we recently lost our human mom – the only one we ever have known – to cancer). We will greet you when you return home and gratefully accept petting and treats! I will hang out next to you or at your feet, and I have not met a treat I did not like. I have mastered playing with the fabric wand toy at my foster home and enjoy playing with my interactive cat tracks/ball toy that I brought with me to my foster home. Rosebud and I both have white fur under our chin and white “mitten” paws. Sis and I may be a bit shy at first. As I said, we just lost our human mom to cancer (we lost our dear human dad before that). We loved sleeping on our human mom’s bed and lived with a male cat and an older bonded female pair of cats. We now revel in the attention our foster parent gives us and have let her pick us up, hold us, and pet us (she says we are record-setters because foster cats normally take days or weeks to do that!). Rosebud and I grew up in a home with a human mom and dad and other cats, was very well cared for and loved by them and their family, and got dragged to the vet for regular visits (most recently in late February so don’t even think about having the vet give us shots until 2025!). Our human mom’s daughter loves us dearly, lovingly cared for all of us after our human mom died, and carefully arranged for Rosebud and I to go directly to an appropriate foster home and not be in a cage; she wishes she could keep us; since she has children and cats and not a huge home, it is best for us to share our love and lives with a new family so we have plenty of living space and attention! Our foster parent has fallen in love with us after less than 24 hours (another record!!!) but cannot adopt us (she too has reached the limit of cats in her family and lives in a small place)! So, we are available to share our gentleness, love, and companionship with other humans. My sister and I cannot wait to meet potential adopters – as much as we love hearing our foster parent tell us we are champions and record-setters, we would like to move along to the next phase of our life journey so we live the next decade or more with our new human or humans. Please fill out an application and get approved; then you can meet us at our foster home and get to know us in a home setting. Our human mom that we lost spoke fluent French, so bonus if you speak French (but not necessary)!!! Merci!
Adoption Process
Our adopters fill out an application that screens for problems that may be detrimental to our cats and kittens. Once the adopter is approved we provide veterinary referrals which help with low cost spays or neuters for the kittens that are too young at the time of adoption. We are always available to help with behavioral issues that arise. We provide numerous information sheets in our adoption folders, plus the medical background of each cat. The only fees involved with our program are adoption fees that offset our veterinary bills.
