CurrentPELICAN NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Come meet Pelican and other great adoptable cats this Sunday (04/06) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Alexandria, VA (3351 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA 22305)! Name: Pelican Best Guess for Breed: Domestic Short Hair Best Guess for Age: 2.5 months (DOB 1/22/25) Sex: Male Approximate Weight: 3lbs (as of 3/26) Coloring: Brown tabby Type of Hair: Short Gets Along With: Because of his young age, Pelican will likely get along with other cats, dogs and kids with an acclimation period. We’re happy to help with tips and tricks! Currently Living at: Shelter down south... coming to the DC area soon! Litter: Pigeon and Platypus I am Looking For: My loving forever family! Hi! I'm Pelican, and I am a cute little kitten! I won’t ask for much- just some love, cuddles and lots of toys so I can run and play and be my kitten self. What My Foster Says About Me: Pelican is a curious and affectionate little guy. He will happily be your shadow and “help” with your chores, from dishes to laundry. He loves to chase toys and wrestle with socks. When it’s nap time he loves to curl up right next to you, or fall asleep in your arms, mid-air biscuit. He’s friendly and sociable and I think he would love a fur-sibling. Kitten Vetting Requirements: Your kitten may not be fully vaccinated upon adoption. You will be responsible for providing whatever remaining vaccines are needed to complete the kitten vaccine series. Due to this kitten’s young age, she/he has not yet been spayed or neutered. As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than JULY 11, 2025. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date . A nonrefundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you would like Lucky Dog to pay for this animal to be altered at one of our low-cost partner vets. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this kitten is $220 ($380 for two cats or kittens adopted together), which includes the cost of routine vetting.
