Rescue Well Incorporated

Our organization primarily helps owners keep pets in safe and healthy homes. We do this by offering support (i.e. training advice, management), supplies (i.e. food, crates, leashes), and we work closely with animal control on cases where owners truly just need help keeping pets. When re-homing is best, we work with owners to provide re-homing assistance which includes marketing and screening of applicants, as well as post-adoption support for adopters.

Meet OLIVE & GINGER (BONDED PAIR)(COURTESY POST)

Olive and Ginger are littermates, therefore bonded, each are 5yo, weigh approximately 8lbs, are spayed, are microchipped, but are not up to date on their vaccines, but their guardian has scheduled an appointment to do so.  Their guardian adds:  "They are both active, playful, and affectionate.  Olive is a real sweetheart and Ginger can be feisty at times.  They get a little spooked when riding in the car, but typically have only ridden in the crate." Olive's and Ginger's guardian explains why he has made the difficult decision to rehome them:  He's developed health issues, coupled with taking care of his grandmother, so he feels they should have 'a better home'. Olive's and Ginger's guardian offers a brief a medical history:  "When they were first adopted, they were being treated for ringworm.  About 2 years ago, Ginger had a vet visit because she was dehydrated." Olive's and Ginger's states the following regarding children:  Olive and Ginger don't live with children, but their guardian recommends them living with children, stating "I have had children over at the house and they don't mind them". Olive's and Ginger's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Olive and Ginger haven't lived with or otherwise been around dogs, so their guardian doesn't recommend their living with dogs. Olive's and Ginger's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Olive and Ginger have lived only with each other, so their guardian doesn't recommend their living with other cats, stating "They are a bonded pair/sisters and do well with each other; however, the first time they were around another cat (about 4 years ago) they were afraid of it". Olive's and Ginger's guardian describes them as: Playful Likes to be touched Affectionate Always at your side Likes men Likes women Separation anxiety Olive's and Ginger's guardian describes their ideal future home:   "I would like to place both girls together as they are bonded.  Because they haven't really been exposed to other animals, it may be best if the new home doesn't have animals but it's possible they may respond better now than when they were younger.  They are indoor cats that want to be outdoor cats (I would supervise them when I let them outside), so they might enjoy a home that has a nice yard for them to roam around."
