FREDERICK NEEDS A FOREVER HOME! Name: Frederick Best Guess for Breed: Domestic Short Hair Age: 9 weeks as of 6/25/25 Estimated DOB: 3/20/25 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: Coming Soon! Coloring: Gray Tabby Type of Hair: Short Gets Along With: Because of his young age, Frederick will likely get along with other cats, dogs and kids with an acclimation period. We’re happy to help with tips and tricks! Special Consideration: This kitten has an initial positive FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test result. However, it's important to note that FIV antibodies can be passed from the mother to her kittens, which may cause a false positive on early tests. As a result, some kittens who initially test positive may later test negative once the mother's antibodies have cleared from their system, typically by six months of age. In the meantime, this kitten can safely live with other FIV positive cats, and the risk of transmission to non-FIV cats is extremely low—especially in calm, indoor environments where cats are not aggressive and do not engage in serious fighting or biting. With regular veterinary care and monitoring, this kitten has the potential to live a long, healthy, and happy life. Currently Living at: Shelter -- Coming to the DC Area Soon! I am Looking For: My loving forever family! Hi! I'm Frederick and I am a cute little kitten! I won’t ask for much- just some love, cuddles and lots of toys so I can run and play and be my kitten self. What my Foster Says About Me: Coming Soon!
