Meet Kitty Forman – she may not be from the 70s Show, but this sweet senior lady is hoping for her own happily ever after. Kitty is an older gal who finds herself very sad here at the shelter, and we’re hoping she won’t have to wait long before finding the loving family she deserves.Kitty’s world was turned upside down when her previous owner, who loved her deeply, had to make the very difficult decision to let her go. It was a heartbreaking choice, but it was made with Kitty’s best interests at heart. In her former home, Kitty lived happily with other cats, so she may do well sharing her new space with a gentle feline friend.Though she’s a little unsure of her surroundings, Kitty still enjoys gentle pets and affection—it just takes her a moment to lean into it when everything feels so unfamiliar. In a calm, patient home, her sweet personality is sure to blossom, and she’ll reward her people with the quiet, steady companionship only an older cat can give.Kitty Forman is ready to leave the stress of the shelter behind and open her heart again. Adoption Process
Once you’re ready to adopt, head over to our Adoption Application to fill out and submit the form. Once our Adoption Team has reviewed and approved your application, we will give you a call to schedule an appointment with the pet! When you arrive at ACSKC, you will be greeted by our Adoption Coordinator and taken to meet the pet, either in our Meet and Greet Room or one of the play yards. If you already have pets in the home, you may be asked to bring them with you for a meet and greet to ensure they will get along in the home (this typically only applies to dogs). If you and our Adoption Coordinator feel like it is a good match, we will then finalize the paperwork and send you home with a bag of goodies, including our “Welcoming Your New Pet Home Guide,” toys, treats and a sample bag of their pet food. If it is not a good match, you are welcome to meet the other available pets in the shelter. Your approved application will be kept on file for 90 days, so you’re encouraged to take your time before making a decision!
