Meet Kallie
Kallie - Female DOB 8/24/2011 Domestic Short Hair - Calico Meet Kallie! Kallie is a super sweet senior kitty that enjoys laying on your lap, while purring loudly, or next to you in bed while getting rubbed behind her ears. She was adopted as a kitten from a shelter but recently ended up in another shelter when her owners had to relocate because of medical issues. Despite her age, she is very alert, and likes to chase after a shoestring and munch on catnip. She loves head scratches and will roll over for attention. She would love nothing more than to spend the rest of her days in a home where she is loved and spoiled, and able to bask in the sunlight. Kallie does have arthritis in her hips which she is on minimum medication for now to help with her pain. Kallie can jump in your lap or on a window box, but will need various steps or ways to help her jump up and down from things like your bed. She has been able to make her way up and down on a cat tree that has various levels she can get up on. It hurts her mostly when jumping down from things and she may hiss or growl when jumping down. While she will eat almost anything, her favorite food is chicken, especially the dried chicken pieces from Trader Joes. Kallie can be a dominant cat and therefore would be happiest being your only pet with no other cats or dogs, and no children. Kallie may be stressed for a bit while getting used to her new home so her new owner will need to have some patience before they see the real Kallie shine through.
