Orange cats are known for being friendly and affectionate and Cheese Soup is no exception to this! We would also add that he is curious and playful, and sure to make you smile! Cheese Soup is around 2 years old and he's a SOLID guy! You don't realize his heft until you go to pick him up and then you get a little work out in! He's maybe more like a bowl of Cheese Chowder...hearty and sure to fill you up.. well, fill up your lap anyways! :) Cheese Soup is FIV+ so it is important that he be in a home as either an only cat, live with other FIV+ cats, or with very laid back cats that would not fight with a new incomer. Cheese Soup is a very healthy kitty, so although he has an FIV diagnosis this should not deter you from enjoying the company of this terrific cat! Your commitment to an FIV+ cats includes good nutrition, timely vet care and providing a stress-free indoor home! Cheese Soup's adoption fee is $85 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccines and FeLV/FIV testing. He has also recently had a dental procedure to clean and polish his teeth. Cheese Soup is seeking an indoor only home, if you would like to meet him please submit an adoption application through our website, Adopthope.org. We require that adopters have a history of having kept any other pets altered, kept current on annual exams and vaccines and as indoor pets only. Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.
Adoption Process
Prior to adoption, all of our dogs have been tested for heartworm, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a vet check and home visit.
The adoption fee for dogs and puppies varies.
Prior to adoption, our cats have been tested for feline leukemia, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. If at the time of adoption, the kitten is too young to be spayed or neutered, an agreed upon time frame will be set for when this procedure is to be done. Spaying or neutering is not an optional procedure, it is required of all animals we rescue.
The adoption fee for cats and kittens varies.
