MediumMy name is Gilbert and I am a black tabby domestic shorthair. I am a neutered male and I am 2 months old. I am at the shelter because I was born in my foster home on 03/06/2025. I am a good kitty who uses the litterbox! I am a high energy kitten (we always are!) and I can live with an owner with no prior pet owning experience. I do not have a history of trying to escape the home, but the shelter staff always recommends owners be mindful that I do not accidentally sneak out on their way out the door. I can be good with men, women, and children. I can be good with other cats and I can be good with dogs. My foster family said: `Gilbert is a sweet, energetic, & playful cat. Heâs always on the go, curious about everything around him, & loves to turn any moment into an adventure. Affectionate & friendly, Gilbert enjoys being around people & will look for a lap when he's tired.`All cats are tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, and cats over 6 months of age are tested for heartworms. They are also tested for intestinal parasites and receive routine dewormings. Cats are vaccinated against distemper and rabies, receive a flea preventative, are spayed/neutered before adoption, and have a microchip. Adoption fees include the initial automated registration of the microchip at the time of adoption.
