ShortMy name is Velasco and I am a tuxedo domestic shorthair. I am an intact male (I will be neutered before I am adopted) and I am 1 month old. I am at the shelter because I was found as a stray on 04/05/2025. I am a good kitty who uses the litterbox! I am a high energy cat and I can live with an owner with no prior pet owning experience. I do not have a history of trying to escape the home, but the shelter staff always recommends owners be mindful that I do not accidentally sneak out on their way out the door. I can be good with men, women, and children. I can be good with other cats and I can be good with dogs. My foster family said: `Velasco is a fearless little adventurer with a heart full of curiosity. He loves to explore and wrestle with his litter mates. Velasco is confident and bold, but also loves human interaction and love pets and cuddles when tired.`All cats are tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, and cats over 6 months of age are tested for heartworms. They are also tested for intestinal parasites and receive routine dewormings. Cats are vaccinated against distemper and rabies, receive a flea preventative, are spayed/neutered before adoption, and have a microchip. Adoption fees include the initial automated registration of the microchip at the time of adoption.
