Meet Gabby
Gabby is a 1-year-old spayed female who is a talkative, loving girl. She has lots to say and will follow you around to tell you all about it. Gabby will also mesmerize you with her beautiful green eyes which are very striking against her sleek black fur. Gabby LOVES getting attention from her humans and doesn’t want to share it, so she will do best in a single cat home. Gabby even knows a trick - she will stand on her back legs to take a treat from your hand when you hold it up. She is not a fan of loud noises however, especially the vacuum. Gabby likes to have a lot of things to play with to keep her busy - interactive toys, cat scratchers, and of course empty boxes. She also enjoys being up high so a tall cat tree would be beneficial in your home. If you’re looking for a gal to pal around with, Gabby is the one for you. To meet Gabby firsthand, she can be visited at Petco-Greenfield, 4950 S. 76th St., Greenfield, WI 53220.
Adoption Process
All potential adopters must fill out an application and go through an interview. Our adoption facilitators walk them through the shelter and help them find the perfect animal that would best match their homes. After a potential adopter signs up for a specific animal, there is a cool-down period.
We do veterinarian reference checks and follow-up telephone calls on Mondays to make sure the potential adopters are still interested. After the telephone interview has taken place, a home visit is set up and the selected animal is delivered to it's new home.
Our adoption fees are $85 for one cat or kitten and $130 for two cats or kittens. The adoption fee includes various procedures which have already been performed, such as:
Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency virus tests
Distemper shots
Rabies Booster
Preventative Dewormer
Spay or neuter for all cats at least 8 months of age or older
An adoption folder complete with an "Animal Health Log Sheet" containing the cat's health history.
Kittens must be adopted in pairs if there are no other CATS in the home. Other animals (dogs, birds etc.), people and/or kids do not count.
Under no circumstances do our animals leave the shelter the same day they are signed up for.
