It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Meet Garfield – Not a Fan of Mondays, but Big on Love! Garfield is a 2-year-old male orange tabby who’s got all the classic orange cat charm—equal parts sass, snooze, and snuggles. He came into ITV’s care after Hopkins County Animal Control experienced storm damage, and he’s been strutting his stuff in our free-roam cat room ever since.This lasagna enthusiast (ok, maybe just treat motivated) is great with other cats and enjoys living the chill life. If you're looking for a laid-back, funny feline who gives judgmental side-eye with love, Garfield’s your guy.Apply to adopt Garfield today at ITVrescue.org Currently free-roaming at our Evansville, IN location.All of our cats are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.
