Meet Poppy The Queen of Calm & CuddlesIntroducing Little Miss Poppy—an elegant, one-of-a-kind sweetheart with a soft heart and an even softer purr. After a rough start on the streets of Chicago, Poppy has blossomed into a gentle and loving companion who’s ready to find her forever home. She’s a girls' girl through and through—especially fond of her foster mom—and lives for cozy cuddle sessions, quiet playtime, and lazy afternoons watching the world go by from a sunny window perch. Her favorite pastime? Batting around catnip toys like the tiny princess she is. Poppy has a calm, collected nature but isn't shy about asking for affection—especially when it comes to those perfect chin and cheek scritches. She does best in a peaceful home where she can be treated with the patience and respect she deserves. While she’s perfectly content being your one-and-only, she’d also do well with a mellow, polite feline friend. Though she’s not a fan of loud noises or wild energy, Poppy is incredibly loyal and loving to her people once she feels safe. She might be a little particular about how she likes to be petted (aren’t all queens? ), but she always lets you know when she’s ready for love. Ideal home: Quiet, cozy, and full of love—with respectful humans and possibly a chill cat companion. Bonus points if: You have a nice window perch and a stash of catnip mice. If you’re ready to welcome a sweet, soulful little lady who’s equal parts soft and strong, Poppy is ready to curl up beside you and make herself at home. Adoption Process
Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines, a division of Fortunate Pooches and Lab Rescue.  We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion! Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent.  We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level.  This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family. In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here:  https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/11683/generic Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue.  Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten. Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day.  Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet.  We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier.  If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day.  If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $3 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home.  We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies. Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age.  We are able to accept cash, check, paypal, or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.
