Meet Toby
Date of Birth: 8/17/23Adoption Fee: $100.00Date Posted: 4/19/24Hi! My name is Toby and I am looking for my forever family. You see, I used to have a place to call my own. The rescue people know that because I am SO friendly. They decided they didn't want me so they left me in a Goodwill parking lot. I was frightened being in the big world all on my own but I didn't let it break my spirit. I held on to my happy, cheerful disposition knowing that someone would come along to take care of me. There are some really great reasons that you will want to adopt me. First of all, I have the most handsome combination of spots and stripes. You will really enjoy petting my soft coat while we hang out together. The second reason is because I am 8-months-old. You know what that means, right? I am old enough to let my true personality shine yet I still have the playfulness of a kitten (without those really crazy zoomies, of course!). The most important reason you will want to adopt me is because I am the best kitty friend you will ever have! I adore my humans and welcome all forms of love and affection. Scratches under my chin or on the side of my face...awesome! Nice, long stokes all the way down my back...cool! A little cuddle time...fantastic! I will jump right on your lap as soon as you sit down. I am going to be a very loyal companion. Please come meet me today!
Adoption Process
Potential adopters are required to complete a detailed online application. Application screeners are trained to follow specific procedures when reviewing submitted applications. Adoption agreements are completed following approval of the application. Volunteers follow up with adopters to ensure that both people and pets are adjusting well as a family.
Currently, adoption fees are $35 as Pippi's Place is partnering with Barrow County Animal Control to foster animals and facilitate adoptions. Pippi's Place will continue to partner with animal control facilities to support their TNR work through adoptions but will also eventually begin intake of its own rescues. At that point in time, adoption fees will increase to $100 for adults and $125 for kittens to help to cover expenses when the cost of spay/neuter, medication, etc. is no longer subsidized through the partnership with the animal control facility.
