I am a little sad because my humans started having money problems so they had to return me to the care of the rescue. It will be great to find a family again where I will be loved my whole life. I can be a little shy when I first meet you but that doesn't last very long. I am a playful girl. One of my favorite things is playing with objects that make noise when they move across the floor, things like straws or Lego pieces (not the super tiny ones, of course!). I also really like to hide my treasures. Don't worry, I always return them (within a week or two ). I proudly walk into the room with the item in my mouth as if to say, "Look what I found!". I meow softly if I am looking for one of my toys or if I want to find my humans to spend time with me. I enjoy pets but am even more content just to sit beside you and let my purr motor run. I am also just fine to lounge peacefully on a soft blanket all day. I am a really low maintenance kind of girl. In fact, I am so relaxed and agreeable that even trimming my nails is easy! Adoption Process
Potential adopters are required to complete a detailed online application. Application screeners are trained to follow specific procedures when reviewing submitted applications. Adoption agreements are completed following approval of the application. Volunteers follow up with adopters to ensure that both people and pets are adjusting well as a family. Currently, adoption fees are $35 as Pippi's Place is partnering with Barrow County Animal Control to foster animals and facilitate adoptions. Pippi's Place will continue to partner with animal control facilities to support their TNR work through adoptions but will also eventually begin intake of its own rescues. At that point in time, adoption fees will increase to $100 for adults and $125 for kittens to help to cover expenses when the cost of spay/neuter, medication, etc. is no longer subsidized through the partnership with the animal control facility.
