Meet Tabitha
Date of Birth: 11/3/23Adoption Fee: $150.00Date Posted: 4/19/24Hi! My name is Tabitha and I would like to tell you a little bit about me. My life has been tough so far. I was dumped in a Goodwill parking lot a little while ago. Can you believe that? I am still such a little girl. I was hanging out with my cat friend, Toby, when a nice lady picked us up and took us to a rescue. I showed the humans how happy I was to have someone take care of me again. I came over to them every time they came in the foster room and pressed my face into their hands when they gave me pets. I rubbed my body against their legs. My little purr motor is one of the most adorable sounds you will ever hear! During my surgery day, they found out I was already pregnant! I am such a beautiful Tabico girl with gorgeous black marbled patterns that are striking against my brown fur. I have a very gentle spirit so I would be super happy in a calm environment where I would get lots of attention. You see, sometimes Toby pushes me out of the way when we are getting pets from our foster mom. I just walk away because I am a lover and not a fighter...LOL. I promise to give my new family lots of love and be the best kitty friend you could ever wish for. I just want to find my family that will love me forever. Is it you? Please come visit me soon. You will be glad you did.
Adoption Process
Potential adopters are required to complete a detailed online application. Application screeners are trained to follow specific procedures when reviewing submitted applications. Adoption agreements are completed following approval of the application. Volunteers follow up with adopters to ensure that both people and pets are adjusting well as a family.
Currently, adoption fees are $35 as Pippi's Place is partnering with Barrow County Animal Control to foster animals and facilitate adoptions. Pippi's Place will continue to partner with animal control facilities to support their TNR work through adoptions but will also eventually begin intake of its own rescues. At that point in time, adoption fees will increase to $100 for adults and $125 for kittens to help to cover expenses when the cost of spay/neuter, medication, etc. is no longer subsidized through the partnership with the animal control facility.
