Pippi's Place Pet Rescue

Pippi’s Place Pet Rescue is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to reducing the number of unwanted cats and kittens through the support of local Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs as well as placement of available felines in permanent homes. We will rescue animals who are homeless due to owner surrender, endangered due to abandonment/neglect/abuse, and those at risk of being euthanized at area shelters. We will place feline companions in loving homes following a comprehensive screening process which includes ensuring a good match between the animal and prospective adopter as well as educating potential adopters about the responsibilities associated with bringing a cat into their home. All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, receive appropriate veterinary care including any necessary treatment, and will be placed in caring foster homes until the time of adoption. We will work closely with local shelters and other rescue organizations to promote the importance of spaying/neutering companion animals. We will work with these agencies to develop a network of supporters and volunteers so that we may create a better world for homeless animals.

Meet Odessa

Date of Birth: 5/6/22Adoption Fee: $100.00Date Posted: 5/11/25Meet our gorgeous Odessa! This sweet lady showed up in the yard of one of our most amazing foster moms who gladly took her in to care for her. Odessa was very pregnant and in need of help to deliver her little brood of fluff ball babies. Odessa has been a loving, nurturing momma and is now ready to find a home of her own. Odessa is calm and sweet. She greatly enjoys the affection of her humans but is also perfectly happy to sit by a sunny window to lounge and watch the birds. The babies still come to Odessa for cuddles and she never turns them away. Odessa would be happy to be the single princess of the palace or would also enjoy finding a forever family with one of her little ones. Odessa needs to be primarily indoors but may enjoy having access to the outdoors as well if it is a safe, enclosed area such as a screened in porch or fenced yard safely secured for feline friends. Odessa was obviously cared for by humans throughout her life and most likely put outside for good when she became pregnant. She was clearly not a roaming, feral kitty when she came looking for help. This precious lady wants to be part of a forever family where she will be included and adored for the rest of her life. Come meet amazing Odessa today along with her beautiful babies including: Lea, Iris, Cosmos, Atlas, and Athos. You will be so glad you did!

Adoption Process
Potential adopters are required to complete a detailed online application. Application screeners are trained to follow specific procedures when reviewing submitted applications. Adoption agreements are completed following approval of the application. Volunteers follow up with adopters to ensure that both people and pets are adjusting well as a family. Currently, adoption fees are $35 as Pippi's Place is partnering with Barrow County Animal Control to foster animals and facilitate adoptions. Pippi's Place will continue to partner with animal control facilities to support their TNR work through adoptions but will also eventually begin intake of its own rescues. At that point in time, adoption fees will increase to $100 for adults and $125 for kittens to help to cover expenses when the cost of spay/neuter, medication, etc. is no longer subsidized through the partnership with the animal control facility.
