Meet Mimi
Date of Birth: 3/12/23Adoption Fee: $100.00Date Posted: 4/26/24Hi! My name is Mimi. I am the cutest, most curious, most affectionate little kitty you'll ever meet! I'm a tiny girl, with a big fluffy tail and big ears that I still need to grow into. I love to sit on my foster mom's chest, or drape myself over her shoulders. I want her attention -- or yours -- right now! I play with my toys like a crazy girl, and it's even better when you toss a mousie or wave a wand toy for me. I am little, but I have already been a momma. Sadly, my kittens died. It was probably because I was too small to have babies of my own. I am now full of love for whoever will love me back. Could that be you? In my foster home, I'm hanging out with a kitty named Linus, who's become kind of like my brother. He's been through some bad stuff and is nervous about people, but I've been building his confidence and convincing him that people are really nice. Also, I wash his face. It would be wonderful if we could go to a forever home together!
Adoption Process
Potential adopters are required to complete a detailed online application. Application screeners are trained to follow specific procedures when reviewing submitted applications. Adoption agreements are completed following approval of the application. Volunteers follow up with adopters to ensure that both people and pets are adjusting well as a family.
Currently, adoption fees are $35 as Pippi's Place is partnering with Barrow County Animal Control to foster animals and facilitate adoptions. Pippi's Place will continue to partner with animal control facilities to support their TNR work through adoptions but will also eventually begin intake of its own rescues. At that point in time, adoption fees will increase to $100 for adults and $125 for kittens to help to cover expenses when the cost of spay/neuter, medication, etc. is no longer subsidized through the partnership with the animal control facility.
