Meet Genji
Meet Genji! This adorable boy has a stunning lynx-like light brown coat with tabby stripes and ticked fur, and is looking for his forever home! His perfectly cute looks are befitting of his namesake as the "shining prince" of The Tale of Genji. Despite what it may seem from his permanently “grumpy” expression, Genji is more than willing to purr once he’s gotten comfortable. He isn’t afraid to play with much larger cats and especially loves to roughhouse with his sister! Genji came into foster care not only because he was too small for adoption, but because he needed to be taught that living with a loving human can be great! Because of this, Genji will need a patient home that will allow him to come out of his shell. He may be more comfortable in his forever home if he goes home with his sister, Lady Murasaki (A572468). Adoption is $50.00 and includes the neuter surgery, initial vaccinations, rabies, microchip and Feline Leuk/FIV testing. At Orange County Animal Services, cats may be adopted in pairs for the adoption fee of just one because cats tend to do well in pairs. Consider adopting Genji a friend! To meet Genji please email his foster mom at: [email protected].
Adoption Process
Most of the animals in our care are foster animals from Orange County Animal Services (OCAS), in other words the property of OCAS. Anyone wanting to adopt one of these animals completes an application form and must submit the form in person at OCAS directly. The adoption for these animals is $40, one of the requirements is verification of pet policy if the potential adoptor rents. The adoption process for animals owned by KFCI is similar but adoption fees vary depending on each individual animal; however we try to keep the fee as close to $40 as possible even if our expenses were significantly more.
