Liberation Cat House, Inc

We are a non-profit organization that exists to save the lives of at-risk cats and kittens in the Central Florida area. This is primarily done through fostering those that are sick and/or medically needy until they are healthy and old enough to be placed in a forever home.We believe that saving more lives can be accomplished through educating others on the importance of spaying and neutering as well as through safe and effective trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNvR) practices. We live by the conviction that compassion for animals applies to all species, not just cats.

Meet January

January joined the Liberation Cat House family back in, well, January! He came from a home where there were about 10 cats being kept in a screened in patio area. Their caretaker was using a portable heater for the space, and sadly, it caught fire. Thankfully, January and most of the other kitties survived but required varying levels of medical care. After having some time to recover and settle into his foster home, this sweet boy is now ready to find his people.  January is a total love bug once he gets comfortable. He loves playing with a wand toy and is a big fan of catnip. He loves ear and chin scratches. He leans hard into chin scratches, and when he flops over, you know you hit just the right spot! He shows his affection by rubbing against legs, elbows, walls, boxes... anything that's close enough to rub on! He is a little skittish of new things but is a very brave boy with gentle encouragement (specifically the promise of Churus). Ever since his foster buddy went to her adopted home, January has been a bit lonely. He gets along well with other cats and would do well in a home where he'd have a feline friend.    This gentlemanly tabby is 3 years old, and his adoption fee is $75. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on FVRCP and Rabies vaccines, and tested negative for FIV/FELV. For more information and to submit an application, please email [email protected]. You can also see more pictures and videos of January on Instagram @liberationcathouse and @grimalkin_den.
