Meet Mark
Ohh, hi Mark! You'll be so happy to have him as your best friend, and he loves Lisa so much (even though she's tearing him apart)! Mark is searching for a new room to relax and unwind with his best friends, where he can toss the ball around and tell people to leave their comments in their pockets where they belong. After being found as the street as young feline, Mark spent most of the last decade with his adoptive family getting whatever attention and playtime he needed. While he was always social and up to hang out with his close friends, Mark did sometimes get overstimulated if you gave him too much attention, so just look out for those well placed signals when he is finished getting his head rubs. Mark was surrendered due to a new baby in the home, which is not something he was onboard with (especially due to his noted preference for being the center of attention in a quiet space). He would be looking for a new home where he can be the only pet, and one without any desire to add new children to it. He also tested positive for FIV, but that doesn't require any daily care. **FIV is specific to the feline species, and is not transmissible to dogs, humans, or any other animals. It is spread from cat to cat via mating or deep puncture bite wounds. Thankfully, all our cats are spayed or neutered so mating is no longer an option! Since FIV does not spread through casual contact like grooming, sneezing, and food/litter sharing, FIV+ cats can live with other cats that have tested negative as long as the cats get along without fighting.** Age: ~8 years old How I came to PAWS: Owner Surrender Animal ID#: A56185 Meet me at: PAWS Adoption Center 100 North 2nd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106 215-238-9901 ext.30 **Our Old City Adoption Center prioritizes appointments made by already approved applicants, but we can accommodate browsers and walk-ins if and as our capacity allows.
