Meet Gooseberry

Meet the meme himself, Gooseberry. This funny man is about 7 months old ( his birthday is 2/14/23). Not only is he a goofball, he  is such a lover boy. He was found attempting to catch bugs in the grass of an apartment buildings common area. His rescuer happened to be carrying home sandwiches, so they sat in the grass for a bit together and ate a sandwich. After the picnic, Gooseberry decided that eating a sandwich seemed easier than catching bugs, so he let his rescuer pick him up and they walked home together. Gooseberry is an overly affectionate cat and his favorite places to sit include a person’s chest, neck or even directly on their face. He loves snuggling and being carried or played with. When not interacting with his people his hobbies include meowing at the wall, sleeping, or making friends with whomever he can. His favorite toys seem to be cat nip soft toys and his brain cells (or lack there of ) do not seem to comprehend any toy that moves to quick, wands or any dangles. He is amazing with kids, other cats and dogs. However since he is so friendly he may ignore boundaries with animals that are more cautious.

Adoption Process
Applicants must complete an application that includes three references. After a phone interview with the applicant and the three references (one of which is a vet reference) the applicant is approved (or denied and an email is sent explaining why they were not approved). Our adoption fee is $90 and adopters sign an adoption contract.
