Meet Clyde & Seamus

Clyde (1.5 year-old male, black and white) and Seamus (2 year-old male, buff) were brought to MWHS by a local Animal Control officer. Both were undersocialized as they were living with a lot of cats and didn't get to spend enough time with humans to understand how to interact with them. Little by little, they have learned to trust people. As cats, they do understand that the people provide delicious food (we have to admit that the boys put on some weight since they came to the shelter...oops!).   Now they both appreciate petting and let you know they are happy. Seamus especially will bow his back under gentle petting, and he will tell you that he loves it even more when he can get a few treats, too! Clyde likes to be petted on the right spot at the right time, but as he gets to know you he will let you pet him more and more. Clyde is very playful and will jump to catch toys and carry them around in his mouth! Seamus is more food-motivated and likely to greet you for some food. He is curious and likes to watch you try to play with him as he is a lazy player. Clyde understands that he needs to move around so he doesn't have to go on a diet, while Seamus plays the cuteness card. They don't necessarily cuddle together to sleep, but are good companions for each other and love to share beds and cat trees.   As these two handsome boys are shy and can be nervous at first, they are looking for a special family that will understand their needs, give them time to adjust to their new home, and be patient while earning their trust. A quiet home without children will be best for them.   As we are closed to the public, adoptions are by appointment only. If you have an interest in meeting Clyde & Seamus, please fill out our online adoption application (https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MWHS/Cat). We will review all applications and make appointments for those applicants we feel would provide a good and loving home for Clyde & Seamus.
