Meet Nova and Ruta

Meet Nova and Ruta! A delightful bonded pair of Domestic Short Hair sisters currently living in Austin, TX. They are almost three years old and have been inseparable since they were just tiny, curious kittens. Though born to different litters, they’ve grown up side by side and developed a heartwarming, complementary bond that makes them twice the joy and double the love! Let’s start with Nova—the queen of cool with a voice that could launch a thousand purrs. Draped in a stunning calico coat, Nova carries herself with a regal flair, but don’t be fooled by her aloof gaze. This charming chatterbox is as affectionate as they come! She’s earned the nickname “Chatty Kathy” for her enthusiastic conversations with birds, bugs, and anything interesting happening outside the window. Nova thrives on attention, adores belly rubs, and has a flair for dramatic flops that beg for your affection. She’s confident, vocal, and absolutely shines in a home where cuddles and conversations are part of the daily routine. Then there’s Ruta, Nova’s sweetly inquisitive counterpart. A tabby calico with eyes full of wonder, Ruta is the energetic spark in this dynamic duo. She’s always on the move—like a little shark of curiosity—chasing balls, pouncing on interactive toys, and solving treat puzzles with the intensity of a feline detective! Ruta has a very mild form of cerebellar hypoplasia, which gives her a slight head bobble when she’s focused or walking. It doesn’t affect her health or happiness, but she does need to stay indoors to stay safe. When night falls and the world quiets down, Ruta turns into a gentle snugglebug, curling up close with paws on your face or nestled in your hand—her subtle way of saying she feels at home. These two medium-sized girls, each weighing around 11 pounds, are spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. They’re seeking a loving, indoor-only home with a caregiver who understands the value of patience, play, and the quiet joy of companionship. Ready to welcome twice the love and personality into your life? Reach out to [email protected]—could Nova and Ruta be the feline friends your heart’s been waiting for?
