Meet Delmar

Hello everyone, my name is Delmar! As you can see, I'm a little different from other kitties. I was found outside freezing and starving by a nice woman who called to get me help. I was born without the radial bones in my two front legs. I was seen by an orthopedic specialist who told my foster mom that since I was born like this, I don't know anything different. I can run, jump, play and go up stairs just like any other cat! I'm still a little skittish, but have made a lot of progress since coming to my foster home. I LOVE to be pet and get belly rubs - I purr like crazy. I get along with other calm cats. Delmar was born on November 25, 2022. She is currently being fostered in Ansonia. She is fixed, is up-to-date on shots, is microchipped and tested neg for FIV/FeLV*. All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.  Applications for adoption can be found at https://www.fosterandforever.org/  Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24 - 48 hrs.

Adoption Process
Visit our website to fill out an application either on-line or download a form (fill it out and email it back to us). This will start the adoption process. All applicants must provide references including a vet (please give them permission to speak to us). Note that we do not place our pets in homes with children under 5, this protects the children and our pets. Once references are checked a home visit will be scheduled and then a meet and greet with the pet.
