Animal Rescue of the Rockies

ARR was formed in 2003 to provide an alternative to shelter environments for homeless dogs and cats. By providing foster homes as a temporary measure until forever homes can be found, our pets are socialized and cared for individually.

Meet Niblet

Niblet has been in a home since he was a kitten of about 12 weeks old. He will be 4 years old on May 2. He is a purebred, papered Ragdoll, purchased from a breeder in Nebraska.  He has the characteristics of a Ragdoll, but not the personality. He is not very affectionate, by Ragdoll standards. There are times he will rub around your legs and purr. He has his claws.  He's very soft, fluffy and sheds a lot. He needs to be brushed frequently. His claws have to be cut about once a month. If not, his claws grow beyond their sheathes. He weighs about 20 lbs.  Niblet lives with a small dog who's about the same size. They don't fight per se, but they will pick on each other. Niblet will swipe at the dog, who will then bark and chase him. Niblet will run under the bed to get away from the dog. When Niblet has been taken to the veterinarian, they said he was so quiet and he let them do almost anything without complaint. He is not as compliant at home. The cat cries a lot when he is left alone. He also chews along the edges of boxes and papers. In his new home, he will need people that are home most of the time, or a kitty friend to play with. Niblet's adoption fee is $200. Please inquire today!     Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.  These "guardian kittens" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.  These "guardian cats" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for kittens (6 months & under)    $125 for cats (older than 6 months)    $75 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application  here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email [email protected] for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.
