MediumPeony is on a journey of self-discovery. Peony came to us a few weeks ago with a litter in tow, and did a fabulous job raising her kittens until they were big and strong. Now, she is learning to ask for affection on her own terms and ask for space when she needs it. Peony sometimes gives mixed signals, but if you speak fluent `cat`, you will be rewarded with her love and affection.To draw potential adopters in, Peony's adoption fee is reduced to $130 thanks to the Bogey Fund (a fund that shines a spotlight on often overlooked black cats).Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them
