Doggie Protective Services

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization based in So. CA who has established chapters outside of the area to attempt to place more of the dogs that are dying in the shelters in So. CA. Many areas do not have small breed dogs and we transport and meet with potential adopters because So. CA is deluged in small breed dogs.

Meet Axel

Axel is a 1 year old sweet boy we rescued in a precarious situation. He was in pretty bad shape not having the best start to life, but once in our care and getting all the love and attention a kitty deserves, he is feeling better than ever. He has been an affectionate and loving boy from the very start. He loves everyone and every human and furry friend he has met is immediately infatuated with him. He has a delightful personality. He would love a cat tree and soft kitty bed in his forever home as well as toys, toys, toys. Let's just say he was a bit rough around the edges when we first laid our eyes on him, but nonetheless handsome and is even more so now. Now that he is getting the nutrition and TLC he needed, his ginger and white coat is starting to look better each day. We think he could join a home with another cat, cat savvy dog or children. He is easy going and just wants to be the center of his new person or family's life. Could this special boy be the one you have been searching for? If so, get your application in for him today. He is ready to meet you! Axel has been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, flea treatment applied and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150.

Adoption Process
We require an application from anyone who is interested in adopting. Then we require a phone interview, followed by a meeting in person. Then if the animal is a match, we have a contract and our adoption fee which is $400.

Look for other cats for adoption!
