Doggie Protective Services

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization based in So. CA who has established chapters outside of the area to attempt to place more of the dogs that are dying in the shelters in So. CA. Many areas do not have small breed dogs and we transport and meet with potential adopters because So. CA is deluged in small breed dogs.

Meet Billie

Our Billie boy is a 1 year old sweetheart who we rescued from being euthanized at the shelter. He had only a few hours left when one of our amazing volunteers sprang into action to save this handsome guy and his brother from certain death. We placed him in one of our wonderful foster homes and they have reported to us that he is a true joy to be around. He is still settling in so we don't know everything about his personality yet but what we do know is he is affectionate, sweet, loving, very grateful to be alive and is looking forward to finding his forever home. He would love to have a cat tree in his home and lots of toys. He could join a home with another cat or cat savvy dog, or he could be your one and only. His foster home says when you bend down to pet him, he just plops over on the floor to give you his belly to rub. He loves to be with his humans wherever they are in the house. He would love a warm lap to nap on during TV time or while you are working from home. He is waiting to meet just the right family or person to help him live his best life ever. Could Billie be your guy? Apply to adopt him today. He has been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, flea treatment applied and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150.

Adoption Process
We require an application from anyone who is interested in adopting. Then we require a phone interview, followed by a meeting in person. Then if the animal is a match, we have a contract and our adoption fee which is $400.
