We work with this community, and with local city and county shelters rescuing cats and dogs, holding adoptions, and providing educational materials on animal care.We are a non-profit, charitable organization. We assist dogs and cats, and their owners in this community.Perhaps your life takes an abrupt turn. You are forced to move and must find a home for your faithful dog. Friends and family have not been successful in helping you; Your dog has been neutered and shots are current. You could contact a H.A.L.O. representative through our email: [email protected] , or by calling H.A.L.O. voicemail at925-473-4642. Next, we would contact you and arrange for you to bring your dog to to us to evaluate to see if he is a good fit for our adoption program. If he is, we may be able to fit him in to a foster home. If no foster home is available we may assist you in finding a home by listing him on our site and helping you show him. We will work with you in finding a new safe and loving home for your dog. This example demonstrates just one type of dilemma faced by families. Meet Cora

Meet outgoing Cora! This beautiful torte is playful and affectionate. She was bottle-fed and is used to being carried, cuddled, and kissed. When she’s not chasing her siblings through a cat tunnel or batting toys around, she enjoys snoozing on a lap, or on a cozy spot near her humans. Cora is used to being with her siblings and would do best being adopted with one of them (Camille, Carlisle, or Chester). For more information, please contact her foster mom at [email protected] . Thank you for considering a rescue kitten!! HALO's cats and kittens can be seen at Pet Food Express every Friday 4pm-7pm plus Saturday and Sunday 10am-1:30pm (except the third Saturday, we do not have an adoption event). Pet Food Express is located at 5829 Lone Tree Way B, Antioch, CA.   Please bring your own carrier. For more information you can email us at [email protected]. To see more of our cats and dogs go to www.eccchalo.org.

Adoption Process
Fees vary on the animals expenses paid anywhere from $50.00 to $300.00. Application is filled out and SECURE FENCING REQUIRED FOR ALL OF OUR RESCUED DOGS. If you are considering adopting a dog through HALO Here are some helpful hints: Bring pictures of your yard to show secure fencing. Most of our dogs require a 6 foot fenced yard. Yards must be cleared of any fox tail weeds. We do adopt small dogs to apartments or condo and need to see pictures of the patio or balcony area. If you rent, please bring copy of your lease to show you can have pets and any size restrictions. We do not adopt to homes with children under the age of five unless we know the history of the dog with young children. All Children MUST be present at adoption. If you own a dog and are looking for a friend please bring your dog with you so they can be introduced.

Look for other cats for adoption!
