Meet Serena and Starbuck

Meet Serena and Starbuck (A208679-80)! We are 8 years young and looking for a loving home together! We lost our home through no fault of our own due to a health crisis in the family. We were raised with lots of love and are the sweetest cats in the world! STARBUCK -   Starbuck is very sweet and can be a bit demanding for attention. She might be a little shy at first, but once she feels comfortable if you give her any attention she will be all over you. She likes to put her paws on your leg to ask for attention and once you start petting her she is in heaven and does not want you to stop. She might follow you around and put her head in your hand to remind you that she's there and ready for petting! Starbuck enjoys brushing and will allow you to hold her briefly, but she doesn't like it and will try to wiggle out of your arms. Starbuck goes bananas for the laser light.    SERENA -  Serena is very loving and affectionate. She can be shy at first and take a little while to get used to new things. She is very bonded to her best friend and sidekick Starbuck. If you pet Starbuck then Serena will usually come out for pets. Once you start petting her she will rub against you and loves petting and will drool sometimes. Serena loves to lay on her back in the sun. Serena's has beautiful long fur that requires regular combing/brushing. Serena loves brushing so this is a great bonding experience. Serena has a lazy glare when she's cozy that is just beautiful.   Serena has been raised with her best friend and sidekick Starbuck and they would like a home together. They enjoy the company of well behaved children and will make loving companions to their lucky adoptive family!

Adoption Process
Adopters fill out a 2-page questionnaire, interview with a staff person, and pay the adoption fee. We are in the process of transitioning to "open adoptions" with few formalized requirements. The full adoption fees are approximately $160 for dogs and $110 for cats, but we have regular 'specials'.
