Rescuing Animals in Need

Wayne Miller is the Founder of R.A.I.N Rescue. We used to be Kit Kat Rescue, but since we have added dogs, we felt the need to change the name.We are working to get a place of our own to house all the animals. Where we would have a vet on staff, and intake area, bathing area, and play area. Prospective adoptees would come to see all the pets for adoption there vs at our local Petsmart. We thrive to find great homes for all the homeless animals that come in to our Rescue.

Meet Luciella

Luciella was found a few months ago in rough shape living in a ditch with a drainpipe as her home. She's estimated to be 1-3 yrs old. She has been treated at the vet for stomotosis and her recovery from the mouth surgery went very well & she is finally out of pain and her personality is emerging. She is a gentle soul without a nasty bone in her body. She is a bit shy & on the quieter side but once she gets to know you she is sweet and speaks to you in her sweet voice - especially when it's time for a snack or for everyone to head to bed. She enjoys having little cubbies to hide in. She seems to like to watch animal videos with me at nap time and loves to get her cheeks and belly rubbed. She'll let you brush her but she likes to walk back and forth through the brush. She has done some long distance traveling and she did best with her harness on and free reign in the car. She liked night driving best and rode beside her foster then. She wears a harness with leash on trip but isn't one much for walking on a leash. She will get your attention by patting or licking you-mostly to tell she's hungry. She is a gentle beautiful cat with very soft fur who likes to lay beside you on her own terms. She is a sweetheart and once she knows who her human is, will make someone who has patience with her a wonderful companion. She seems to be interested in making friends with other cats, it is unknown how she would be with dogs. Because she is so shy, she would do best with older or no children in a home that will be a bit more calm.

Adoption Process
Filling out an application is the 1st step towards adoption. Once approved, we will contact you to set up a time to meet. We have contracts for the new owners to sign. We always want our animals back in the event they cannot keep them any longer. Each adoption fee is different. It depends on age of the pet, purebred, health issues etc

Look for other cats for adoption!
